I hope all is well. Here wondering if 7 Taskbar Tweaker will receive any updates for Windows 10? It’s been a great tool but hasn’t worked for months. Thank you for the years of wonderful I did have with it!
7+ Taskbar Tweaker receives an update with every Windows 10 version. The last update, released on October (changelog), added support for Windows 10 version 20H2, which is currently the latest Windows 10 version.
What do you mean that the tweaker hasn’t worked for months for you? Are you using the latest version, 5.10?
My apologies, Sir. I didn’t realize the homepage displayed comments. I found v5.10 via the sidebar. Thank you for responding. 🙂
If you could add an option to double click on empty space to open file explorer that would be so cool!
Hi Billy,
You can do that, see my answer here.
New to win 10.
When (vertical) taskbar is grouped, left click on an item shows thumbnails for some items, which is completely useless for me, especially when there are 10 of those running. One offender is explorer. Some grouped items do show labels only, but only a select few, such as edge and process explorer.
I would like the behavior as in win 7, where only the text label is shown for all items when a grouped item is left-clicked, but I see no way to obtain that in win 10, including options in 7+TT. Is there a way? If not, is it even possible to implement that? And if, possible, would you do it?
Thanks.

Hi Peter,
By default, a list is shown when the amount of items is large. You can make it so that the list is always displayed by enabling the tweaker’s “List” option: https://i.imgur.com/zSpvGLY.png
Ah, ok, thanks! That does indeed work. However, I had that set to tooltip, and now setting that feature causes the whole list to be displayed on hover. I only want it displayed when I left-click, and only a tooltip (if label truncated) when I hover. But, that is not as annoying as a dozen thumbnails where I can neither see what’s in the thumbnail (4k laptop display), nor infer the label that is truncated at 4 chars.
If it’s possible, maybe the two functions could be separated and a new radio button implemented under left click behavior. But, like I said, that is not a painful annoyance at the moment like the thumbnails were.
Part of the problem with having the whole list show up on hover is that I usually like to set the hover delay much shorter than the default, so that I don’t have to wait so long when I am hovering intentionally to see something. The result is that all sorts of stuff flashes when not wanted. Most things that happen “on hover” are just annoying, imho of course, and implemented to impress some executive.
It’s so frustrating that with every new version Microsoft makes the UI ever more annoying in their efforts to make it more “friendly” and “beautiful.” It’s beyond me why they don’t ever include “use legacy mode from last version”.
You can change the option back to “Tooltip”, and have thumbnails disabled through a registry option:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/75804-taskbar-list-thumbnail-previews-mode-change.html
Aha, most excellent. Thanks. Indeed that works. Sevenforums and Tenforums are the best sources imho. I never did that for win 7 because the first thing I did when installing win 7 was to disable Aero. Not an option in win 10, apparently, unfortunately.
BTW, I think it’s amusing that the original developers called the taskbar the “taskband” as evidenced by the registry key name.
Hi! Just reinstalled windows 10 and can’t get multiple buttons to combine together on the taskbar anymore. Thought you might look into that. Love the app, cheers!
Hi,
Can you please provide more information? Which option did you try to use, what did you expect to happen, and what happened instead? A video or a screenshot will help. Also, do other options of the tweaker work?
as a user i’m finding 7+ tweaker very useful for controlling the volume of my pc ..but im worried about my privacy …i know you have on many occasions clarified that this is a safe software …but yk what i mn….as a programmer what would you suggest …people should check before downloading 3rd party software.
If you’re worried about your privacy, you can turn off automatic update checking, in which case the tweaker will no longer communicate with the server to check for updates. In that case, you’ll have to keep the tweaker updated manually.
Thanks for replying…. Do you have a youtube channel also for teaching stuff online or something?
I don’t. Maybe one day 🙂
Can you direct me to the Terms of Service or Terms of Use for 7+ Taskbar Tweaker?
Hi,
I don’t have a licensing agreement or terms of use for 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. All I can say that it’s a free/donationware program, and you can freely use it for commercial purposes. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do.
I am trying to use Taskbar Tweaker on Windows 10 to reorder icons within a group. i.e. I have multiple copies of Excel open – they are in a “stack” on the taskbar – which is fine – I like it that way. But I want to swap the one on the right with the one on the left.
It looks like I should be able to do this with Taskbar Tweaker and the option “Drag within/between groups using right mouse button”.
I have tried and tried and I can’t get it to work.
The other settings I have are:
Grouping: “Group by Application ID (default)”
Combining: “Use taskbar settings (default”
I also don’t know what the difference is between Combining and Grouping – but they are both at the default setting.
Hi Susan,
You’re probably looking for the option “Thumbnails” -> “Drag to reorder”. Regarding your other questions, please refer to the help file, it has a detailed explanation of the terms and options, with images.
You are right! I found the Thumbnails>Drag to Reorder shortly after I posted my question. It works perfectly and is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks!!
Hello, I’m pretty happy with your 7-taskbar-tweaker that could disable the lousy “always on top” fixed configuration.
I tried to donate U$10 through Paypal but couldn’t because of my country (Japan). Do you know of any way-around ?
Hi Masami,
Thank you for the feedback, I’m glad that you like 7+ Taskbar Tweaker.
Currently, you can donate with PayPal and Bitcoin.
I often have multiple browser windows open. There is a highlight in the Task Bar that shows which window I am looking at, but I think it is a lighter grey against the light grey. It is so mild that I literally have to get down close to the screen to actually see it. Would it be possible to give an option to select what color that highlight is? I want something that is drastically different than the Task Bar light grey.
Hello! I just wanna know if there are any fixes for this problem I’m encountering with 7tt. So, I have set the no_width_limit to 1 so that I could mount the taskbar vertically while having small task bar, and it manages to do so. The problem is that, when I startup (I’m on Windows 10 20H2), the icons in the task bar doesn’t decrease with the limit, so it looks like it was cut in half, the only solution I had found is that every time I startup, I have to move the taskbar horizontally and then take it back to vertical so that it would decrease and won’t cut in half. I have set the icons to small icons in the official taskbar settings (just to add).
I just want to report this bug(?) ’cause I really LOOOVE this program you’ve made! Cheers 🙂
Hi Neal,
I haven’t experienced this problem. Can you make a screenshot of the icons cut in half after a reboot, and a screenshot after you fix that by moving the taskbar?
I just want to start out by saying that I love 7+ Taskbar tweaker. There is one minor gripe I have with it though, the feature where you scroll the mousewheel to change the volume (Other taskbar options> Mouse wheel> Control volume when mouse is over> The notification area) works wonderfully with one monitor, but I recently got a second monitor and while it still works, the volume display shows up on the primary monitor only rather than their respective monitors.
When scrolling over the taskbar on the secondary monitor, I would like for the volume display to show up on that monitor instead of the primary monitor, if it is at all possible. The double click on empty space to open the start menu works in this way and I would like it to be consistent.
I have two vertical taskbars on the far sides of their displays and am on Windows 10 Education 10.0.19041
Thank you,
Andrew Grant
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the feedback. Achieving it with the modern volume control is tricky. Currently the tweaker just simulates a mouse click on the tray icon to make it show up, and its location is up to Windows. I’d have to figure out a way to intercept its creation and move it to another monitor.
The good news is that you can use the classic volume control that shows up near your mouse. To do that, you can use the sndvol_classic advanced option – right click on the tweaker’s tray icon and choose Advanced options. Refer to the help file for more details.
I hope all is well. I stumbled across this app while trying to replicate a specific behavior, maybe anyone knows the solution, or maybe this feature could be reasonably implemented in here.
What I am trying to do is to have a program open, not just running in the background but with the window open and visible, and at the same time having it hidden from the taskbar, the ideal solution in this case would be “Taskbar Inspector” -> “Right mouse click” on any app -> “Hide from taskbar” (without minimizing it).
I have searched for a while now, but all I could find was solutions to “minimize in the icon tray while your app is running” but this is sadly not what I want.
Any help would be appreciated,
Cheers
Hi Yosef,
This can be achieved with the DeleteTab Windows function. The tweaker doesn’t provide such functionality, and if it would, I think that it wouldn’t be very useful to most users since the hiding will only last until the window is re-opened.
I noticed the virtual_desktop_order_fix in 7+TT no longer works on Windows 10 20H2. Not sure when this broke. Is there any chance you can fix this? Thanks again for such an amazing program!
Please try the newly released v5.10.0.7 beta.
I have used the Taskbar Tweaker for many years and it just occurred to me that I have never donated to help support you. I am very sorry about that and have begun to remedy it with my first donation.
I am very impressed that you have maintained this utility for so many years through version after version of Windows, quietly just doing a great job. I hope you are younger that I am because I plan to use the Tweaker until I die. 🙂
Thank you for the donation and the warm comment, Brian, I appreciate it!
Hi,
Your program is awesome! Volume up/down with mouse over taskbar is fantastic.
I have idea for a new feature. When I use programs and minimize them, they are displayed in same order (on taskbar) as they were ran for the 1st time. I would like last used programs to move to the right. For example if I use Chrome then Calculator I would like to click the program I used before calculator (that was Chrome) and instead of scanning 10 icons, I would know the previous program is just one icon to the left from the last one. Is it possible to do this? Shuffle icons on taskbar sorted by last opened time.
Regards,
Mat
Hi Mat,
Thank you for the feedback. Interesting idea. Something like this is not possible at this time, but I might look at it for one of the future versions when I have some spare time.
Hi,
Not possible because you are busy or Windows 10 doesn’t allow you to do this?
Not possible in the sense that it’s not currently implemented in the tweaker. It surely is possible to be done with some effort, but it’s not trivial, and also it’s not a commonly requested feature, so it’s not a priority for me.
I understand. I will be happy if I see that feature one day 🙂 Thank you for this nice little program!
“Donations to this recipient are not supported in this country or region”, It’s too bad I can’t make a donation.
Thank you for considering a donation. For now, the only other option is Bitcoin, which you might want to consider using as an alternative.
I got a Windows notification than an update to 5.10.1 was available, but the download failed.
What is the exact error message that you’re seeing? You can also try downloading the new version from the website and updating manually.
The dialog pops up: “A new version of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker is available. Current version: 5.10 New version: 5.10.1” I click on the Update button, and there a green bar travels across several times, the another dialog titled “Error” that says “Download failed, please check your internet connection.”
I wonder whether it could be a firewall/AV problem. I will try downloading manually and get back to you.
I was able to download and update manually, very smooth.
hi
windows 10 has just been updated to 21H1 which i believe is the may 2021 update and a very minor update. installing the latest 7+T beta flags up as incompatible, but so far its running fine
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the update. I’ve just released v5.11 which adds official support for Windows 10 May 2021 Update.
Hi.
Symantec is detecting a virus in the version 5.11.2.
Please check this.
Thank you
best regards
Helmut
Hi Helmut,
That’s probably a false positive detection. False positives are unfortunately common for newly released versions of the tweaker. Please see the FAQ here and this blog post.
Feel free to contact Symantec about it. The incorrect detection is usually removed after a couple of days.
Hello dear dev, thank you for your work on 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. 🙏🏻
I found what seems like a bug to me inside it.
Inside:
Other taskbar options > Minimize/restore when mouse is over > Taskbar buttons
It doesn’t work when a software as more than one window in it. While we could very well reduce the windows one by one.
What do think about it?
Thanks for your time !
Hi Steven,
Right, the scrolling option only works for a single item. As an alternative, you can use the advanced options to configure a mouse shortcut for minimizing and restoring all items in a group. Refer to the help file for more details.
Whoa thanks, it feels like I found the secret level of Windows game 😅 So much option added.
You should tease ’em on the main window option as I NEVER knew that we could discover more power user feature inside the help file.
File that we usually check in case of issue, admit it.
Hi sir,
If there is a plan to support windows 11?
Hi Erick,
It’s too early to tell, this time it’s more challenging than with previous updates (Windows 7 to 8 to 10). For details, see the newly released blog post, 7+ Taskbar Tweaker and a first look at Windows 11.
Hello, Im hoping to receive updates to this program for window 11 if possible, maybe a beta that works with it or something. Even maybe a new program called “windows 11 taskbar tweaker”, I dunno. thought it was a good idea sir. -any help?
Hi,
Please check out my recent blog post, 7+ Taskbar Tweaker and a first look at Windows 11.
Hello there, first off thank you for all your work on on Taskbar Tweaker; it’s invaluable and appreciated.
Back in June, it appeared as if a Windows Update started causing Explorer crashes: opening a window for C: worked at first, but then clicking any other window would cause Explorer to crash, refresh the taskbar, and close any additional Explorer windows. (Weirdly, alt-tabbing worked fine and didn’t cause any crashes.)
I was able to do a system restore in June and disabled Windows Update until I could figure out what happened, but then Windows forced an update on my yesterday and I ended up having the same issues again. Over the past 12 hours I tried system restores, repairs, other fixes, etc. and nothing worked.
Here’s the part relevant to TT
During one of the many restarts this morning, there was one instance of a popup that said something about TT not being compatible with the latest version of Windows: and then it finally clicked that that was probably the issue and explained why Windows worked but only the taskbar seemed affected. I kept Windows updated as-is, installed the latest TT, and now everything’s fine again. 🙂
My question is, do you know why that incompatibility warning only came up once? It’s strange that there were crashes resulting from compatibility issues back in June, but I didn’t get the dialog warning until today. Now that I know, I’ll make sure to keep TT updated in the future.
I guess my question is, do you know why I would’ve only gotten the incompatibility-warning once, months after first having the issue? I’m relieved it was an easy fix, but I feel bad if others have the same crashes because of TT and couldn’t determine it was the issue.
Hi,
I’m not sure which kind of a warning you saw, and why you saw it only once. In general, it’s not always possible for me to detect an incompatibility, since I don’t know in advance which Windows update among the ones that are yet to be released are going to cause problems. The tweaker shows a warning if there’s a new major update which it doesn’t recognize, since nearly every major update breaks compatibility, but sometimes minor updates break compatibility as well.
Please do. New updates of the tweaker often adapt to Windows update incompatibilities and to new Windows versions.
Yes, me too. In fact, in the latest version of the tweaker I implemented functionality which is designed to help with this: if the tweaker observes an explorer crash, and if it detects that an update is available (update checking needs to be enabled), it brings up the update dialog, since updating the tweaker might solve the problem. Unfortunately, I can’t push this functionality to existing users of older versions, but I hope that it will help users in the future.
Thanks for the quick reply. All your points are logical and, unfortunately for me, very obvious in hindsight that I could’ve avoided the issues. 😉 I’ve got auto-updates enabled now. Again, thank you for all your work.
Eep! Sorry for the mega-paragraph… I had line breaks but it looks like they were stripped out.
One other side-thought: I know enabling auto-updates would’ve probably avoided this issue. The main thing I’m trying to clarify is if you know why the TT incompatibility popup only appeared once, three months after first having the issue.
Hi,
is this possible to define keyboard shortcut with right-alt (AltGr) modifier ?
For me it would be nice to cycle through taskbar buttons with RAlt> and RAlt<
Thank you,
BigJapko
Hi BigJapko,
From the linked key codes page, looks like you can use
VK_RMENU
(0xA5). I haven’t tried it, but it seems to be what you’re looking for.I thought something more like 0x50|r-alt for exemple for RightAlt+p combination. 0x50 is “P” key.
The expressions 0x50|0xA5 nor 0x50|VK_RMENU or even 0x50|VK_SHIFT don’t work.
“r-alt” would be welcome on modifier list “ctrl, alt, shift” 🙂
Right, a key code can’t be used to set a modifier key, I had to refresh my memory on the syntax which was created years ago 🙂
The tweaker uses the RegisterHotKey Windows API function to register the keyboard shortcuts, and unfortunately, right/left modifier keys are not supported.
I found a similar discussion about this in another project: issue, the fix. They ended up implementing a custom hotkey mechanism, which is not trivial. For now, I don’t plan investing in this.
As an alternative solution, perhaps you can use a tool to remap your shorctuts, such as Microsoft’s PowerToys:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/keyboard-manager#remap-shortcuts
I think I managed to make RightAlt (or AltGr) work with 7+TT keyboard shortcuts by remapping. As Microsoft Power Toys doesn’t work with Windows 7 which I have, I used Autohotkey script.
In my example RightAlt+. remaps to control+shift+right_arrow and RightAlt+, remaps to control+shift+left_arrow, defined already in 7+TT.
<^>!.:: ;when pressed RAlt and .
Send, ^+{right} ; send control+shift+right_arrow (action already defined in 7+TT as 0x27|ctrl+shift)
return
<^>!,:: ;when pressed RAlt and ,
Send, ^+{left} ; send control+shift+left_arrow (action defined in 7+TT as 0x25|ctrl+shift)
return
According to http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm RightAlt has >! hotkey prefix but AltGr has <^>! prefix. Which to use depends on what Alt key type your keyboard has on the right side.
I was wonder if TT could help with this problem…
I have moved over from XP to 10 and I find it very annoying – and amazing – that Win 10 fails to simply put the latest thing you open nicely at the END of the current windows where you can easily find it (i.e at the right, and the bottom of any rows).
I’m also told it even MOVES ITEMS AROUND.
No wonder I can never find anything !
I already have the following set up but am wondering if there’s anything else I could do to achieve this?
Dont group
[Drag within/between…]
Dont combine grouped items
I want new items at the (bottom-) right and nothing to move unless I drag it !
(You’d think this would be obvious, right?)
I do notice that it helps if I don’t have items pinned, because otherwise apps will tend to open at the pinned location. I’m willing to leave nothing pinned if that’s what it takes.
You can use the “Don’t group pinned items” option to have new items open on the right, leaving the pinned item in its place.
Ha ! Thanks I didnt even see that !
Maybe I can then have the best of both worlds: used pinned items but have new items at the end..
Currently I am not pinning items but am making old-fashioned-style shortcuts on the taskbar using the method described here:
https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-pin-any-folder-windows-7-taskbar
(using a shortcut with the ‘explorer’ in front of the address)
Dear Ram, I just donated money for many years of using your program. Thanks.
I have bought a new computer with Windows 10 on it, and 7+ Taskbar Tweaker isn’t giving me the feature I loved so much in Windows 7. I like to be able to accumulate quick-launch icons on the left side of the taskbar, but I don’t see a way to do that.
Secondly, there is an issue in Windows 10 that no one has managed to find a fix for (actually, many fixes have been found, but Microsoft keeps erasing them in updates — even changing the Registry parameter didn’t fix it). On the desktop, the text under icons is white with black shadows. That is very hard for some people to read (like me). It would be great if you could give us a fix that would allow us to have plain black text on a light background. I would be very grateful for that, and I’d definitely send you more money for it. Microsoft keeps removing customization features with every new version.
Also, I’m seeing a bar between rows in the taskbar. I’d love to get rid of that. Thanks for everything.
Hi Caleb,
First of all, thank you for supporting 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, I appreciate it.
I’m not sure what you mean by “accumulate quick-launch icons on the left side”. In general, you should be able to add a quick launch toolbar on Windows 10 similarly to Windows 7, there are several tutorials about it like this one.
Regarding the other two items, the desktop text and the bar between rows, unfortunately 7+ Taskbar Tweaker doesn’t have options for them. The desktop text is out of scope for 7+ Taskbar Tweaker since it’s not about taskbar customization. The bar between rows (you probably mean the underline below each button) is something I might look into for one of the future versions.
Hello,
Thank you for your tweak.
I really hope you release a version for Windows 11.
Regards.
Hi, Thanks for your Great app, I Would suggest a feature: Minimize Button to Beside the Item name on the Taskbar, and Then taskbaritem|lclick Value 1. by A Default. Thank you, Basel.
Hi there Michael,
First, thank you for the 7+ Taskbar Tweaker program – it’s absolutely great!
I’ve recently run into an issue that I’ve never seen before though. Even though I have the “Hide tray icon” checkbox checked, the 7TT icon still appears in the taskbar area. In other words, whether I have that checkbox checked or not, the tray icon is always visible.
I am running Windows 10, and this issue just recently started – a week or two ago at the most. It’s happened on both my computers, so I don’t think it’s just something specific to just one computer.
Thanks for your help, and thank you again for your wonderful program!
Eddie
Hi Eddie,
I’m not able to reproduce the problem. I’m using a standard system functionality to hide the tray icon, and it should just work. If you have a way to reproduce the problem, let me know and I’ll try to figure out what’s going on.
Thank you so much for the reply, Michael!
I’m still seeing the issue, and I haven’t found a way to reproduce it outside my two computers, but if I do I’ll let you know. It just started happening suddenly on both of my two work computers a month or two ago. Maybe it has something to do with the anti-virus or related software that the company installed that they keep updating…
Anyway, if you ever do happen to see the issue on other systems and have a fix, I’d appreciate it if you could reply back here to let me know.
Thank you again!
Eddie
Hi, I have looked all over for a way to disable the flashing app icons in the Taskbar. When I jump to different virtual desktops using a key command, one of the apps while always start flashing at me. I have tried disabling notifications in Settings and tried some regedit changes that did not work. I don’t see that your app does this based on the screenshot on the home page, but please tell me that it does or that there’s some way you know of to stop the orange flashing app icons in the Taskbar. =D Thanks so much!
Hi,
Sorry, but 7+ Taskbar Tweaker doesn’t have an option to customize this behavior, and I don’t know of any other way to disable the flashing.
Man, i’m poor as f*ck, can’t donate, but want to thank you so much, you are awesome! This tweker is a bless! Best wishes.
Hello,
the latest download v5.12.3 does not work.
Thank you and best wishes.
Hi,
What doesn’t work for you? Are you getting an error message?
A new tab opens only showing a “0”, same with textify, 7+TT beta works, update from 7+TT app throws error “setup program could not be started” (translated from German).
I found the problem and I believe that it should be fixed now. Please let me know if you still have problems with the download or the update.
👍
🙏
textify download still does not work.
Perhaps you have the faulty page cached locally. Can you try downloading in incognito mode? Let me know whether it works.
The 7+TT update from the program worked, but download from your website still has the same problem.
In incognito mode as well?
A new browser start finally makes the downloads work. Thanks again.
Although it’s probably beyond the scope of Taskbar Tweater, it would be nice if there is a functionality is added like https://stefansundin.github.io/altdrag/
Hey man,
Thanks a lot for the tweaker. Been using it for years now.
Cheers!
Hi:
I’ve been using your soft for a long time, always with great satisfaction.
However, I find that under W10, my actual version (v5.12.2) does not behave as well as it used to do under W7. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe not but that’s how I see things actually. The two more annoying situations I encounter are:
*) the Outlook icon keeps sliding (by itself) to the right of the address bar, no matter what I do, no matter how many times I send it back to the left, suddenly, it will go back to the right for apparently no reason
*) can’t lock the address toolbar as well as I used to do before. Effectively, in the pas there was a clear border between the quick launch buttons and the active icons. Every time I wanted to trespass the limit, the double bar was there and would stop me from going any further. Not anymore with this version: now I can trespass the limit so my active buttons will land between the quick launch icons, which in fact if we do not pay attention to what we do, is very disturbing.
Maybe these problems come from my laptop, a Lenovo L390 which I see as a real piece of garbage but maybe they all come from the software.
What would be you advice then other than throwing the laptop out by the window, something I’m tempted to do all the time by the way…?
Thank you in advance for your answer and have a nice weekend.
Cheers,
Hugo
Hi Hugo, thanks for the feedback.
This was probably fixed in v5.12.3. Please update and let me know if you still experience the problem.
7+ Taskbar Tweaker has no customization options for toolbars on the taskbar, so what you experience is native Windows behavior.
Any chance you update classic shell?
For me there is not going back after using classic shell and Taskbar Tweaker in windows 10, I love I can keep the look of win xp
I’m not affiliated with Classic Shell. Perhaps you were talking about 7+ Taskbar Tweaker? See the following blog post:
7+ Taskbar Tweaker on Windows 11 with Windows 10’s taskbar
Love 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. Is github no longer being updated? I see that it’s on version 5.10.
Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback. The GitHub repository of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker is not updated regularly. Is there something specific you’re missing that was added after v5.10?
The GitHub repository was updated yesterday. Enjoy.
Thank you for this little tool. Is there a way to start Textify (via vbs-script) so that it is hidden in the systray?
Greetings from Germany
Lucky Joe
You can use the
-hidewnd
command line switch to run Textify with a hidden window.thx!
Hi Michael!
Thanks for this very nice peace of software.
I just installed windows 10 and was searching on the internet how i could make the taskbar icons bigger. And so I found 7+ taskbar.
Now I have a furthermore wish.
Is it already possible, or in an update to expand the space between the Icons? Now there is no breath between the icons.
Would it be possible to centre the icons on the taskbar?
Thanks!
Ivar
Hi Ivar, thank you for the feedback.
Right now the tweaker doesn’t provide such options. I’ll consider these for future versions.
Damn this has been one of the best tweaking tools that I’ve ever installed genuinely props. One thing I wished it could do was adjust the padding between the system tray / date / notification icon. By default if you have the taskbar on the left hand side the gap between the last systray icon and the time is a whole extra icons worth.
Michael Maltsev… Михаил Мальцев? Ты наш что-ли, братааан!?!! :))
А то 🙂
Вот это поворот О_О
Hello, I have switched to Windows 11 and now I have a question. I have deactivated the grouping of the icons and all icons are displayed next to each other in the taskbar again. How can I deactivate the texts next to the icons?
You are doing a TOP job and I am very happy with 7+ Taskbar Tweaker!!!
Hi Werner,
You have two options. You can either change your settings to “Always combine, hide labels”. If you’re using Explorer Patcher, here’s the guide. Another option is using the tweaker’s advanced options – right click on the tray icon, choose Advanced options, and configure show_labels. Use the Help button for more information.
With tweaker’s advanced options it was very easy to solve!
You have helped me a lot – thank you very much!!!
Many greetings from Werner
