Windhawk mod: Multirow taskbar for Windows 11
I’m happy to announce a new mod that fills yet another gap in Windows 11: Multirow taskbar for Windows 11. This was a popular request on the list in Windhawk mods for the Windows 11 taskbar. Along with other mods that bring back taskbar functionality that became unavailable in Windows 11 (Vertical Taskbar for Windows 11, Taskbar on top for Windows 11, Taskbar Labels for Windows 11), Windhawk allows for smooth updating to Windows 11 by filling the gaps for most taskbar-related functionality.
Although I rarely look at the “News” headlines placed below the Date and Time, it appears to be political. I would appreciate it if the Politics be left out and this be a link to interesting or amusing articles. I’m sure that not all of your users appreciate what appears to be articles meant to influence the public … propaganda which may or may not be accurate.
You’re probably referring to the Taskbar Clock Customization mod. Different people have different interests, and the feed can be customized in the mod’s settings.
Hi michael,
thanks for amazing program. this is really helpful.
would you mind seeing if the rows can extend to 3 or 4 (or more ) as well just like it did in the previous Windows versions?
Thanks for the amazing program again
Hi, the amount of rows isn’t limited to 2 if that’s what you’re asking.
I have windows 11 (today did an upgrade from 10 so 7+ taskbar didnt work anymore but it redirected me to windhawk) , i know have windhawk with this multirow mod [will be adding other ones like ungroup / taskbar height / tray icon spacing and grid / and maybe more] … and 37 things open in taskbar … i can move 1 within the 37 to another spot BUT only within the row … but can’t move for exmaple a freshly opened thing that is at the end of the 2nd row to the middle of the first row, only maximum to the beginning of the 2nd row. This was no issue with windows10 7+taskbar.
Yes, it’s a known limitation with the mod, see:

Awesome stuff (moving the 1 from row 2 to the beginning of row 2 and then moving the last 1 from 1st row to the right which makes the 1 from below move up is a good solution).
