Windhawk mod: Large Taskbar Icons

In the Windhawk mods for the Windows 11 taskbar blog post, I asked you to vote for 7+ Taskbar Tweaker features that you’d like to see as Windhawk mods that can also be used on Windows 11. One of the most voted features was the ability to change the size of taskbar icons.

Here’s the mod that implements it, enjoy:

    Hello, this mod doesn’t work in my system
    My windows version is 21H2 (OS Internal version 22000.739) ;

    • Hi,
      The mod depends on debug symbols to be available, and unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t always release symbols to insider Windows versions. At this point, there’s not much that can be done about it. The mod can be designed such that debug symbols are not required, but it will make it much more difficult to create and maintain, and it’s not something I plan on doing.

    How can increase space between taskbar items when this mode is enabled? Taskber items seem too close to eachother.

    Is it possible to change buttons height as well to make them short? After setting taskbar to 72 buttons looks too long, would be so good if it’s only square and same height with width. Maybe even it would be possible to have multiple line buttons one day.

    • You can set the taskbar button width in the settings, if that’s what you mean. Note that you need version 1.2 of the mod, and that explorer has to be restarted to apply the changes.

        I was asking for height actually, just mentioned width to be able to do same way for height. After a bit playing around I found that it’s possible with Windows 11 Taskbar Styler mod by setting vertical alignment to top, height around 50 and cornerradius 5 for tasklistbutton. Thank you very much for replying in a short time and helping out.
