Unchecky v1.1
We’re happy to announce the new version of Unchecky, v1.1. Here’s what’s new in this version:
Added an option to exclude selected programs
This was one of the most requested features on our UserEcho forum, and we finally decided to implement it. Even though excluding programs should be rarely necessary for Unchecky, there are some legitimate cases when this feature can be helpful:
- As described in the UserEcho topic, several antiviruses can show a warning when Unchecky tries to interact with their interface. Adding the antivirus to the excluded list of Unchecky should solve this issue.
- In rare cases, an incompatibility of Unchecky with another program can cause issues. In these rare cases, the conflicting program can be excluded as a workaround, until we officially solve it in Unchecky.
Added support for handling offers in Microsoft Edge
Two years ago, Unchecky v0.4 introduced support for browser offers. Upon the introduction of the new functionality, only Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer were supported. With Unchecky v1.1, we are adding Microsoft Edge to the list of supported browsers.
Added support for many more installers
We’re adding support for new installers in every new version of Unchecky, and this time is no different.
Other changes
There are some other minor enhancements in the new version. One of them, another highly requested option, is to be able to choose not to create a desktop shortcut while installing Unchecky:
You can see the full list of changes in the changelog of Unchecky.
I have an weird question… Can you make Icy Tower 1.5.1 Trainer xDDD?! I am bored and i installed Icy Tower. I want to have the MAX rank :D!
Thanks if you make a trainer xD!
It’s not as weird as it is misplaced. You should have posted here.
Anyway, I’m not into Icy Tower since 2009 or so. You’ve got me curious about the status of Icy Tower today, and seems like it’s gone – freelunchdesign.com is not operational, and there’s nothing else I could find in Google. Looks like Icy Tower’s glory time has passed.
Do not start Avast at CCleaner install
Thank you for the report. This is a known limitation, it will be solved in the next version of Unchecky. See also this post.
Nice update, it’s great to be able to exclude certain programs.
Hey, no one is answering question on Unchecky forum? What is going on?
I put in a good word for Unchecky with the Malwarebytes community yesterday.
Mr.RAM,
Greetings from Great State of TEXAS,

Hi LexCee,
1.2 is the latest version of Unchecky, as you can see in the changelog on the website:
https://unchecky.com/changelog
There was no announcement on the blog since there were no new major features.
Mr.Ram,
Neglected to mention that “AdobeFlashPlyr” is one place that ‘UnChecky’ has not worked. I do not do very much downloading and have tried/used several different progs from your site, Retired/w fixed income makes for special needs are the only items a person can support.

Thanks.
Hey there, what happened to Unchecky? Is it still being developed or is it dead?
Unchecky was acquired by Reason Software Company in 2015, and so it’s no longer under my control.
